Welcome to my Wireless Engineering Blog. Here I and eventually others will share with you the latest news from the Wireless Voice and Data world. ERS Data Solutions Group is a Division of Emergency Radio Service, Inc. (ERS) which has held an Authorized Dealership and Certified Service Shop relationship with Motorola since 1948. Today ERS is comprised of 4 major divisions: 2-Way Radio Sales and Service, Data Solutions Group, Tower Construction and Services, and Antenna Site Management.

Let's start by focusing on Data Solutions Group, founded in 2003 and officially marketed in January of 2007, it is responsible for WWAN, WMAN, WLAN, and WPAN systems design, implimentation, service, and support. This covers the gamit of both indoor and outdoor wireless data, from Wireless Broadband, Muni-Mesh Systems, to HSPDA/CDMA/GSM Mobility Solutions.

The key to the future is in what we call Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC). FMC will bring us devices that integrate wireless voice and data from multiple network sorces.
